Sunday, January 17, stood in Sherbrooke the third meeting of Zounds. Driven by the desire to fulfill our demands for better access to legal aid, we have worked diligently on the implementation of our action plan.
From the outset, note that the website of the CADED is officially online! We have this platform to incorporate all relevant information about the organization, but also to attach an update of our activities. It is therefore an appointment to www.caded.ca.
Furthermore, we are busy designing the video showing the current status of the program access to legal aid. Indeed, the content along with its invoice graph were put on paper and should be evaluated by the graphic designer shortly.
Finally, a schedule of dates has been determined about the way forward for a possible press conference, all in order to put pressure on government actors about the need for revision of scales of eligibility at ‘Legal Aid. Indeed, considering the termination of the five-year plan on the plan, it becomes necessary to undertake a more formal profile among different media. To do this, he agreed to join forces with the organizations concerned and some influential people in the legal community in order to ensure the holding of such an event.

Saturday, November 23, 2009 met members of the board of CADED for the second time this session. Also in order to promote our manifesto which was adopted by all members, the Board has identified technical promotions.
The beginning of the meeting was used to introduce to the members of the confederation the progress of activities surrounding the Law Games and the organization of the event in general. Note that we commend the Committee of the UQÀM for the incredible job he has done. For more information, please visit www.lawgames2010.com
It was decided to produce a video showing the obvious together with statistics relating to the context surrounding legal aid. Of course, the main criterion is to make a video that will entail no cost while creating a major media impact.
It was also decided to set up a website for the confederation to be known and spread to the public our demands and the progress of our projects. A logo will also be established to harmonize our documents and, again, provide visibility to the organization.

The CADED met for the first time this year Saturday, October 17 at McGill University. For those who wondered what CADED, it’s the Confederation of Students of Civil Law. It therefore includes the students associations of Law of Université Laval, Université de Montreal, UQÀM, McGill University, Université de Sherbrooke and the Université d’Ottawa, who have all sent at least one delegate to the meeting on Saturday.
Our primary mandate this year is to put forward the Manifesto for access to legal aid, drafted last year. We have therefore established an action plan for promoting the manifesto, including the updated version will be adopted in each of the student associations shortly. Watch your date of next general meeting!
The meeting was also an opportunity to organize activities that bring together all student members of CADED. To this effect, you are all invited to the Unity Party, which will take place November 13 at Belmont, located at 4483 St-Laurent in Montreal. Tickets go on sale in all faculties at a price of $ 5, it is that you contact the executive of your student association!
