McGill’s Faculty of Law hosted on Friday March 26th the debating competition “Face-à-face” which brings together the best debaters of all Civil Law Faculties in Canada. This year’s competition offered the public present in McGill’s Moot Court some very interesting and heated debates treating on a wide range of issues. The final debate opposed University of Montreal debaters Mountagha Sow and Marc-Antoine Edger, and University Laval’s Renaud Laliberté and Marion Lavoie-Cardinal. The two teams offered very eloquent and persuasive performances but after a lengthy deliberation by the judges, University of Montreal’s team came out on top and thus won the first position. The organizers wish to thank all participants and judges for their contribution in making this year’s Face à Face finals a success. The final Face-à-face competition is organized every year by the CADED.
